Just being able to put stuff on the screen isn’t the extent of the class. Those who simply take summoning skills and hope for the best will find that they are not going to have fun in Diablo Immortal. Using the right build, however, these risen monstrosities can tear through rifts without the Necromancer needing to lift a single bony finger.
Due to several factors, like gear, skills, reforging, and upgrades, it is impossible to list the exact quantities for many of the numbers detailed here. Any variable number has been replaced with an ‘X’ to signify its potential to change.
Skill Selection
The only skills here that don’t summon something are the primary attack (take the ranged Soulfire to stay safely behind minions) and Dark Curse. Dark Curse may seem like an odd choice, but there aren’t more than three summoning skills and it can be upgraded with gear to assist the summoned units.
Gear
The bulk of gamers will be hunting down their ideal pieces of legendary gear after taking the time to beat the game. But don’t forget to track down the set bonus pieces after choosing them from the list. A complete set gives three additional effects, on par with the legendary bonuses from the regular gear.

Despite many great choices for a summoner, these selections seem to be the best for the units themselves. Welcome End may be the most controversial, but when combined with Synod’s Anointing, there will still always be at least one Skeletal Mage up and fighting.
Set Items
The Shepherd’s Call To Wolves is tailor-made for the Summoner. No other class or build can use it as well as this one, giving a shot in the arm to its main source of damage.
Reforge Bonuses
Even for paid players, reforge attribute bonuses can be guided, but are not guaranteed completely. With enough rerolls, any player can eventually get the exact attribute they want, but this will take time and luck, even for those who have the money. Therefore, several different attributes have been listed within the same family, in order of preference.
Family Bonus
This may have the fixings of a Corpse Explosion build, but it is not that. The Family bonus, having such a small chance to occur, is an afterthought due to the strong individual attributes offered.
Attributes
These attributes are precisely why the Ravager family makes so much sense. The extra damage and tankiness for the minions in addition to better output against the toughest enemies are too good to ignore.
Gems
There are two kinds of gems to consider for this build: the legendary gems and the regular gems. Players of all income levels will be using this guide, so there are three charts for legendary gems to choose from. Probability demands that even paying for an advantage will still make it tough to get the right gems, so feel free to mix and match from the charts based on the character’s most valuable stats.

The Summoner Necromancer should happily take advantage of all the summoning powers in the 5-star gems.
If it weren’t for the Resonance bonuses with the 5-star gems, the Follower’s Burden would be the best gem in the game for the Summoner. As it stands, it’s definitely the best outside of the 5-star gems.
The Freedom And Devotion gem may be given a measly 1-star rank, but until the rest of the gem slots are 2-start or better, no Summoner should even consider replacing it.
Regular Gem Preference
Given the choice between tanking and damage, elect for extra damage every time, allowing the best defense to be a good offense.
