RELATED: Awesome Side Quest Hidden In Diablo Immortal

This is where the Frenzy build truly shines. It might seem odd to build around a primary attack in Diablo Immortal, but nobody can argue with the results. The Barbarian is lucky to have a standard attack that has nearly uncapped potential, it’s all a matter of designing a build that can make the most of it.

Due to several factors, like gear, skills, reforging, and upgrades, it is impossible to list the exact quantities for many of the numbers detailed here. Any variable number has been replaced with an ‘X’ to signify its potential to change.

Skill Selection

Hammer of the Ancients and Demoralize may seem like misfits in this group of skills, but both gain important effects when altered with legendary gear, so keep them in. Most of these skills will act as either buffs or setups for the featured Frenzy skill.

Gear

The bulk of gamers will be hunting down their ideal pieces of legendary gear after taking the time to beat the game. But don’t forget to track down the set bonus pieces after choosing them from the list. A complete set gives three additional effects, on par with the legendary bonuses from the regular gear.

Primary Gear

There is only one piece of gear that adds anything directly to Frenzy but it’s purely a movement speed buff, so don’t worry about it. Altering Demoralize is key to the build as the skill is purely used for tanks otherwise, not for damage-dealers.

Set Items

More than the legendary gear, the War Rags of Shal’baas define the Frenzy build. All three effects combine to turn the primary attack into nothing more than a blur on the screen. No opponent, even a boss, can last more than a few seconds under this kind of pressure.

Reforge Bonuses

Even for paid players, reforge attribute bonuses can be guided, but are not guaranteed completely. With enough rerolls, any player can eventually get the exact attribute they want, but this will take time and luck, even for those who have the money. Therefore, several different attributes have been listed within the same family, in order of preference.

Family Bonus

The Tremor family has the unquestionably better bonus, but the individual attributes within it are designed more for a PvP slant. Wildfire is still good and the Hydras can help out with the group damage that the Frenzy build lacks.

Attributes

It’s going to take luck and perhaps a huge stack of cash to sync up all pieces for a single attribute, but players who can get the primary attack bonus on all six pieces will unleash the Frenzy build to its fullest capabilities.

Gems

There are two kinds of gems to consider for this build: the legendary gems and the regular gems. Players of all income levels will be using this guide, so there are three charts for legendary gems to choose from. Probability demands that even paying for an advantage will still make it tough to get the right gems, so feel free to mix and match from the charts based on the character’s most valuable stats.

Legendary Gems

The Frenzy Barbarian has a preposterously high ceiling as it attacks faster than any other class or build in the game. With this in mind, anything that delivers a “chance” upon attacking is a near-guarantee for the Frenzy build and should receive top priority.

It’s impossible for any build to avoid all damage, especially for melee characters. The Frenzy Barbarian gets some great regenerative and tanking capabilities from the 2-Star gems, as well as the usual increases to DPS.

There are very few 1-Star gems that don’t make sense for the Barbarian. Boosts to melee damage and attack speed should take priority. However, don’t neglect survivability and mobility as well.

Regular Gem Preference

Given the choice between tanking and damage, elect for extra damage every time, allowing the best defense to be a good offense.
