As seen below in the announcement trailer for Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch, it appears as if the graphical fidelity and original integrity of the action-RPG’s content for the system appears to be solid and intact, as the port looks to be running smoothly. Plus, it will be possible to play four-player local co-op using just one Switch (which could cause some visual lag), but players can also use four separate handhelds for local play. Online co-op is also available as well, and it provides the option for local players to join an online co-op game, too.
According to Blizzard, Diablo 3: Eternal Collection will give Nintendo Switch owners all of the expansions for free, meaning that along with such DLC as Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer, any other updates the game received since its original launch in 2012 will be included as well. What’s more is that the Switch version of the action-RPG is also expected to include a unique armor set that turns characters into one of the most iconic Nintendo villains, Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda.
As of now, Blizzard has yet to reveal an official launch date for Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch, but perhaps the company will confirm when the action-RPG hits the Big N’s system during the developer’s annual BlizzCon event. Then again, perhaps it could be even sooner, as Blizzard could potentially use gamescom 2018 as the platform to announce Diablo 3: Eternal Collection’s official release date on Switch. Conjecture aside, we will simply have to wait and see what else the studio has in store for us in the future regarding the title’s availability.
Diablo 3: Eternal Collection is currently without an official release date, but has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch.
