McCourty, 31, has been with the Patriots for nine seasons. His twin and team-mate, Jason McCourty, was acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Browns last offseason.
Jason is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, while Devin has one year left on his contract with New England, though he may not see that out.
“I don’t know for sure, man. But I do look at it — if we can win this game, winning with my brother [Jason], I don’t know what else I could do that could top that,” McCourty told NFL Network.
“So I’m just trying to make sure I enjoy this season and enjoy these last couple days with these guys.”
The McCourty twins’ mother, Phyllis Harrell, shared their dream of them playing together, and she told ESPN: “I’m so grateful because I get to see them live out their dream.
“I didn’t tell my sons this, but I did tell their wives: If they win the Super Bowl together, I’m going to grab some of the confetti and lay out on the field and do an angel.”
